Choosing a Juicer That's Right For You

If you’re looking to make some healthy lifestyle changes, juicing can be a quick and easy way to get more vegetables and fruits into your diet. There are many quality juicers of different types available.

Deciding what kind of juicer is right for you and how much you want to invest in a juicing machine may depend on how often you plan to juice and what types of fruits and veggies you will juice the most.

While a masticating juicer grinds up fruits and vegetables more thoroughly, producing more juice and drier pulp, they tend to be more expensive than more common centrifugal juicers. The benefit of a masticating juicer, for a serious juicer who plans to use it a lot, is that it’s generally good for almost any kind of juicing need you have, including the juicing of greens.

Masticating juicers, and the even higher-end juicers called Triturating juicers, which work on similar principles but at lower speeds and with two augers instead of one, can also be used for other needs, especially if you’re willing to invest in some attachments. Expensive juicers of this quality can be used to grind coffee or make nut butters, just for a couple of examples of their versatility.
