The Singapore Tourism Board launches their “No one Does Summer Like Your Singapore” campaign that aims to encourage Filipinos to come and visit and the amazing Singapore this summer. With a huge selection of exciting activities and new attractions, Singapore is the best place to be this summer with your family and friends.

The following list of family friendly destinations are among the new and exciting things that await you in Singapore this summer 2013 :

The Opening of the River Safari
The highly anticipated opening of the River Safari in will be in the 1st Quarter of 2013. The newest attraction in Singapore is developed for the visitors to have an up-close view of freshwater habitats and animals. The River Safari will let the guests experience the eight river zones from the River Nile of Egypt to the Amazon River. This tour will also let visitors witness 150 plan species and over 5,000 individual animal specimens. The park features river giants and freshwater megafishes such as the giant river otter, Mekong giant catfish as well as the giant pandas, promising a fun wildlife adventure for families and kids.


According to Ms. Sherina Chan,  Singapore Tourism Board’s Area Director for Philippines and Brunei,  the opening of the River Safari hopes to cement Singapore as the ultimate family-friendly destination that not only excites and delights the senses of the kids, but provides families with unforgettable bonding moments amidst the breathtaking and iconic backdrop.

Newly Opened Marine Life Park
The newly opened Marine Life Park in Singapore is the world's largest oceanarium containing 100,000 marine animals from over 800 species.


Adventure Cove
Resorts World Sentosa's aquatic adventure park complete with towering waterslides, wave pools, tropical jungle gardens and grottos inhabited by whimsical sea creatures!


Gardens by the Bay
It is a 101-hectare that will excite visitors with its awe-inspiring domes, intricate installations and amazing flora and fauna displays. Gardens by the bay also houses the largest climate-controlled glasshouses and conservatories and received the World Building of the Year Award from the 2012 World Architecture Festival.

Big Wig Music Festival
The Big Wig Music Festival will be launched on the 6th of April at Fort Canning Park. The festival is a celebration of musical diversity and a kaleidoscope of sights and sounds and will also will feature some of the biggest names in hip-hop, soul, funk, disco, moombahsoul, latin, raggae and dancehall - creating a global funky vibe.


Great Singapore Sale
Taking place from 31 May - 28 July 2013, the 20th Great Singapore Sale is for barkadas who are looking to get some retail therapy done, shoppers can indulge in fabulous finds offered at up to 70% discount. World Street Food Congress (WSFC)
World Street Food Congress is the best place for couples looking to go on a gastronomic adventure this summer in Singapore.   6. the river safari looks very inviting, i really like the concept, would want to check that out if and when I get the chance to visit singapore someday, been there before, but that was many years ago, and there are so many changes or addition featured here that I did not experience.

  11. I have been including Singapore in my must-travel places list. I hope I can step foot in there someday. Meanwhile, my older sister and her husband have just been there for a weeklong of tour. Yes, I envy their getaway! Lol. Good luck to everyone who'll join this giveaway!
